In the caption below, we want to highlight the transaction generated between 14/01/2014 and 30/01/2014
Select all the date value from cell B4 downward using CTRL + SHIFT + Down Arrow
Execute CTRL + Backspace to move up [Optional]
In the Style group of the Home tab, click on Conditional Formatting
Select New Rule
In the New Formatting Rule dialogue box, select Format only cells that contain
In the first cell reference box, click on cell C1 to reference the date value in the cell
In the second cell reference box, click on cell D1 to reference the date value in the cell
To Set Format, click on Format
We can choose whatever formatting we preferred. In this example, we will go with Red Fill color
Click OK
Click OK
From the capture above, all the dates that is within 14/01/2014 and 30/01/2014 are conditionally formatted based on the specified criteria
