CROSSJOIN In SQL Server

Welcome to Excel Jet Consult blog post. In this tutorial, we want to replicate CROSSJOIN performed in Power BI Power Query and Power BI DAX. Let’s get started

Kindly click on the link to be redirected to the blog post on how to CROSS JOIN using Power Query and Power BI DAX

The first thing we must do is load the tables into the SQL Server which we have done

In the caption below, we have two exact tables we earlier used to perform the same operation in Power Query and Power BI. See the caption below

From the caption above, we have 3 by 20 columns and rows and 3 by 4 columns and rows respectively. We want to find all the possible outcomes.

To cross join: execute the query

select * from Data_tbl1 cross join Data_tbl2

From the caption above, we have exactly the same result with the Power Query and Power BI DAX

In the caption above, we have the CROSS JOIN using Power BI DAX function
