We want to create Custom Column and use IF and OR functions to return Sales Status of High when State equals LOS or Total is greater or equal to 2000
To Add a Custom Column: In the General group of the Add Column tab, click on Custom Column
In the Custom Column dialogue box, provide Sales Status as Custom Column Name
Execute the logical formula inside the custom column formula.
The above formula evaluates whether [State] equals to LOS or [Total] is greater than or equal to 2000. If either of these two conditions are satisfied, the formula returns “High” otherwise, the formula will deliver “Low”
In the caption above, the first transaction in row 1 returned High because, although State did not equal to LOS but Total is above 2000. In row 2, we noticed that State did not equal to LOS and Total is below 2000 threshold hence, the formula delivered Low. Neither of the logical test questions were met
