Welcome to Excel Jet Consult. In this tutorial, we will learn how to important data from a website table. Let’s get started.
The first thing we want to do is visit the website we want to import data from and copy the url. In the caption below, we want to import the African Countries By Population (2019)
Secondly, we will copy the url and proceed to the Excel workbook
In the Get & Transform group of the Data tab, click on From Web
In the From Web dialogue box, paste the website url in the box
Click OK. In the navigator dialogue box as seen in the caption below, click on Table 0 (which is the table that contains the data we want to import). We can see the preview of the data
Finally, click on Load. In the caption below, we can see the data loaded to our Excel workbook in the caption below
